Summertime at the Y is truly a magical time of year and a wonderful opportunity to see our mission at work throughout the community. With the end of another school year in sight, we are preparing to welcome nearly 2,000 kids to YMCA summer camp in June. At the Greater Joliet Area YMCA, we remain dedicated to providing a fun and safe summer camp experience for ALL children, but we can’t do it alone.
Each summer, nearly half of the children who attend summer camp across our association receive assistance through the YMCA’s financial assistance program. This is made possible thanks to precious funds donated to the YMCA by generous donors like you. As our community continues to recover from the pandemic, we expect the need to be even greater this summer. To ensure that the Y’s mission can continue to thrive and help those children in our community who need it most, we need your support more than ever.
We invite you to invest in the children in our community by making a charitable contribution to the YMCA’s 2022 Send a Kid to Camp Campaign, which will run April 18-May 6. Your gift, in any amount, will help to ensure that every child has the opportunity to benefit from an engaging and impactful summer camp experience at the YMCA.
