Kids looking for a little friendly virtual competition this summer are invited to participate in the YMCA’s new eSports Rocket Soccer league. Set to launch in coordination with GG Leagues, the Y’s Rocket Soccer league will feature a six-week competition for kids, ages 10-18, and a one-day tournament for kids, ages 7-9.
Play for kids, ages 10-18, will begin Tuesday, June 8 and continue weekly through July 7. Playoffs will take place on Tuesday, July 14. Nightly games will begin at 6:30 p.m. For Division C, which is intended for kids, ages 7-9, there will be a one-day, single-elimination tournament on June 14 from 1-4 p.m.
To participate, players must own Rocket League on XBox, PS4, Nintendo Switch, or their computer:
Xbox: Access to an active Xbox Live account
Nintendo Switch: Access to an active Nintendo Switch Online account
Playstation: Access to an active Playstation Plus account
PC: Access to Steam, an internet connection, and a mouse
Registration is now open through GG Leagues and will continue through June 2.
Cost is $90 for Division A (Ages 14-18) and B (Ages 10-13) and $30 for Division C (Ages 7-9). To register your team of three players, please follow the directions below. For additional information, please refer to the registration tutorial provided by GG Leagues.
