The Morris Community YMCA’s new Youth in Motion program is a fun and exciting way for children of all skill levels to participate in a non-competitive exercise program. Kids, ages 10-13, will work up a sweat in a positive, high-energy environment with a supervised training program designed to improve strength, power, flexibility, and build muscle.
Participants will go through a conditioning cycle of a healthy warm-up, cardio, strength, and flexibility activities that will help them build endurance, develop strong muscles and bones, and reduce stress. Led by YMCA personal trainer Becca Mckee, this class will also teach participants proper form so they become comfortable using exercise equipment, including dumbbells and kettlebells.
