The Smith Family YMCA will host the Rx Mobile Food Pantry on three occasions across February and March in an effort to provide healthy food options to those facing food insecurity in the surrounding communities. Individuals can stop by the Y to pick up food from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on each of the following dates:

Thursday, February 20
Thursday, March 5
Thursday, March 19

Participants do not have to sign up in advance and no identification is needed. The mobile pantry will include produce, milk, eggs and meat. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis, while supplies last. Attendees are advised to bring bags or boxes for their groceries.

This event is made possible by the Northern Illinois Food Bank in conjunction with the Amita Health Outpatient Nutrition and Diabetes Center Dietitians at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
