As Illinois prepares to enter the Bridge Phase of the state’s reopening plan later this week, the YMCA will be increasing capacity limits in many areas of our facilities and in select programs and classes, as permitted by state guidelines. These facility and program modifications will go into effect beginning Friday, May 14.
YMCA members will continue to be required to make reservations to use the wellness centers, gymnasiums, and the family pool and walking track at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA. YMCA members will also be required to make reservations for group exercise and water fitness classes. Reservations can be made up to 24 hours in advance through the YMCA On the Go App, by calling the Y, or by visiting the Membership Desk.
As a reminder, all YMCA Facility Members, ages 13 and up, receive free Basic access to the On the Go App included with their membership. Members, ages 16 and up, who haven’t already downloaded the YMCA On the Go App, will receive an email invitation from the YMCA later this evening to download the App for free. This email will be sent to the email addresses listed on the membership account in Daxko for each eligible member. Please be sure to check junk and spam folders for this activation email.
Members, ages 13-15, who would like to request access to the On the Go App, can do so by clicking here. Each App user will be required to submit a unique email address when requesting access.
