The Y is looking to gain feedback from Grundy County parents on the types of programming they would like to see at the Morris Community YMCA.

These interactive sessions will allow you to:

• Provide feedback on the types of youth programs you would like to see the Y offer in Grundy County
• Learn more about Y programs, services and membership opportunities
• Learn more about new YMCA initiatives and the Y’s long-term plans in Morris and Grundy County

Light refreshments will be served. Complimentary child watch services (ages 6 months-10 years old) will also be available onsite.

• Led by MSA Youth Soccer Coach Alissa Samolis
• Held Wednesday evenings at Morris Soccer Association Fields
• Players will work t0 improve footwork, passing and dribbling, among other skills

• Players will work to develop their hitting, bumping, setting and serving skills

Morris YMCA Voted Best Health/Fitness Club

Earlier this year, the Morris Herald-News gave readers the opportunity to vote for their favorite local businesses. And now, the results are in!

The Morris Community YMCA was voted the Best Health/Fitness Club in the Greater Grundy area.

One of the area’s leading nonprofits, the Y is strengthening our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

MORE ABOUT THE MORRIS YMCA
In December 2014, the Morris Community YMCA and Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers announced the formation of a partnership to enhance the health and wellness of Grundy County residents.

Under this multi-year plan, both organizations began working together to offer programs and services at the new temporary Morris Community YMCA location in downtown Morris, which opened to the public in January 2015.

As of June 2016, the Morris YMCA is home to more than 2,300 members.

Let your child’s creativity shine during our Awesome Artist Camps! Two sessions are available:

Found Object Sculptures: Robots
Kids will create their very own robots out of found objects and recyclables and use technology to light them up and/or make them move.

Found Object Sculptures: Large Scale Sculptures
Kids will use math and problem-solving skills to create a larger-than-life replicas of their favorite summer treat!
