Starting Monday, February 8, we will be extending our AM Kids Corner hours! Kids Corner is a supervised playroom for children between the ages of six months and 10-years-old.
Inside Kids Corner, children have access to toys, games and tablets that will keep them busy while you work out! There is no need to call ahead. Parents must remain in the Y while their children are in our supervised playroom.

The Morris Community YMCA’s Power Center is the new home for all of your strength training needs! Located on our lower level, this space features brand-new state-of-the-art equipment that will help you conquer and achieve your fitness goals in 2016 and beyond.
With the addition of a Synrgy360 system, a functional trainer and more free weights, the Power Center will provide our members with better opportunities for interval training and additional small group exercise classes.
FitStart is a FREE program designed for new exercisers or those who have trouble sticking to a workout program. Throughout the 12-week program, participants will meet with a Fit Coach up to four times. During these meetings, your workout will be evaluated and, as your fitness level increases, so will your workout intensity.

Awesome Artists I (Ages 5-7)
A great introductory class for all the budding artists out there! Using a variety of supplies and materials, ranging from traditional #2 pencils to markers and crayons, your child will learn the basics of drawing.
Awesome Artists II (Ages 8-10)
A step up from Awesome Artists I, this class will teach participants to draw realistically using materials such as #2 pencils, watercolor paints and water soluble markers.
Awesome “Graffiti” Artists III (Ages 11-13)
Designed for older kids, this class will focus on advanced techniques such as layering backgrounds, middle grounds and foregrounds, while drawing graffiti and utilizing the grid method.
To better serve our members, we have decided to extend our hours! Starting January 10, 2016, the Morris Community YMCA will be open on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, the Y will be closing at 8 p.m. on Fridays.

Family Yoga (Ages 5 and Up)
This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills.This class promises fun for the whole family because you can do yoga together forever! Families will strengthen their bodies as they learn how to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques.

Hip-Hop Dance for Kids (Ages 7-14)
Hip-hop Dance is a fitness class designed for kids to get them moving to their favorite music. Classes are designed to allow the students to let go and dance without being limited by rules of technique. Learn the latest dancing moves and be prepared to have a blast while getting fit!
