As a non-profit, community-based organization, the Greater Joliet Area YMCA relies on the support of its members and generous supporters to provide services and financial assistance for children, adults, and families living in our community. And we are proud to have the support of Dan and Jeanette Stevenson, who recently made a $5,000 donation to the YMCA Mission Strong Fund, helping to ensure that no one is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay. The YMCA’s Fab 50 Club is a social club focused on fun and fellowship for facility and community members ages 50 and over. On a weekly basis, the Fab 50 club meets to mingle, play games and, every once in a while, go on an adventure. This fall we have a wonderful lineup of events and programs to enjoy!
At the Y, we know that learning doesn’t end when the school bell rings. The way children spend time outside the classroom can make a big difference in their personal development and family-life balance. The Y’s Kid Zone and Kid Zone PLUS programs provide a safe place for children to keep their mind and body active while learning social skills and positive values.
Summer Camp season is almost here and we need your help designing a graphic that will appear on one of our special camper giveaway items this summer. Open to Y members, ages 9-14, this contest is the perfect opportunity for kids to let their artistic talents shine and celebrate the beginning of summer!
